Specialized announce Tri sponsorship dealSpecialized announced a sponsorship deal with Human Race Events, the UK's leading multi sport event organiser, to be Official Bike Sponsor in a deal that sees Specialized associated across all of Human Race's triathlon and duathlon events, throughout 2008 and 2009.
Producing an extensive range of bicycles and accessories to suit every level and budget of athlete, the brand fits naturally with the portfolio of events that Human Race offers including on and off road triathlons and duathlons as well as female specific and grass roots events. Specialized's results in triathlon speak for themselves; Chris McCormack triumphed at the Ironman World Championships in Kona and Conrad Stoltz just collected his 3rd XTERRA World championship in Maui this year. Richard Hemington, Managing Director of Specialized commented, "We are delighted to be the official bike sponsor for Human Race. Triathlon has always been part of our offering, but has now become a key focus for the brand in the UK and this is a great opportunity for Specialized. Our track record across road and off road bikes is second to none and we're here to support all of Human Race's competitors with our full range of bikes, helping them achieve their goals and enabling our products to push them to their limits." John Lunt, CEO of Human Race said "We are very excited to welcome Specialized as one of our associate partners. Specialized is a world class brand and it's fantastic that they are supporting Human Race and the sport of triathlon." ![]() Date: 17/01/2008
